A quarter of a century in the service of Bangalore’s underprivileged children
Established in 1992 by 50 members from the East Parade Malayalam Pastorate at MG Road, Bangalore, EMPACS Charitable Society completed 25 years in the service of the disadvantaged sections of the society in Bangalore in 2017. The following are the key milestones in the history of EMPACS in a gist.
Commenced functioning from leased premises at Lingarajapuram with an education centre for 10 differently abled children and an old age home.
A 10,000 sq ft plot at Byappanahalli donated to EMPACS by a member.
Ashraya allotted an 8800 sq ft plot in HBR Layout for its operations by the Bangalore Development Authority.
Construction of Ashraya Centre for Learning started on the plot of land at HBR Layout.
EMPACS constructed a spacious and well-designed building on the BDA plot at HBR Layout and Ashraya Centre for Learning commenced functioning from the building.
10,000 sq ft plot of land registered in the name of Empacs at Doddagubbi.
Construction of CJM Study Centre for children from the Byappanahalli slum and surrounding areas completed on the plot of land at Byappanahalli.
UKG and LKG classes started at CJMSC for the academic year 2008-2009.
First Floor of Ashraya Centre for Learning constructed and inaugurated.
